4. Manage all aspects of MPA Classic Golf Tournament. Includes soliciting players and sponsors, sending mailings, keeping records of payments, maintain attendee list, post-event follow up, and complete a detailed financial report after event.
5. Attend and participate in various events during the Missouri State Fair. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting with the Swine Skillathon, managing the Swine Judging Contest, working with the Specialty Ham Curing Contest and Pork Demonstrations Contest, attending events during Legislator’s Day and the Sale of Champions, set up and work at the MPA booth, conduct cooking demonstrations, assist with catering events, securing plaques and supplies, and working at the Pork Chop Place.

Position Title: Wisconsin Pork Association Intern
Location: Lancaster WI
Position Description: Student’s duties will include organizing and/or participating in marketing, producer education and communication programs. Will participate in media, public relations, develop marketing materials, speak with youth and adults, attend WI State fair, inform producers about PQA and help facilitate WPA mentorship program. Lastly, intern will develop producer focus column in WPA newsletter.
Pay: mileage, housing, meals and additional pay
Dates: May – August
Requirements: Intern must have a major in marketing, education or communications. He or she will also be require to have his or her own transportation, preferred swine background, prefer sophomore or junior with plans for credit.
